Trygva Cottage, Gorran Haven,
Trygva is a sunny south facing terraced cottage built for the Gorran Haven coastguards in the early 19th century - now very nicely modernised.
The terrace is positioned on the hill above the beaches and looks out over the quay to the bay beyond. The front of the cottage has sea views from every room. There is a pleasant deck in front with dining furniture and private parking below.
Little Perhaver Cottage next door sleeps 3 and is also lovely - a good pair to rent together for family holidays.
A well behaved dog is welcome (there is a £15 charge).

Trygva is one of the middle two cottages (white painted) in the terrace. There is a wide gravel courtyard off Cliff road with parking for Trygva and Little Perhaver cottages. From the parking area steps and pathway lead throw pleasant lawned front garden and the up to a decked patio in front of the house with lovely sea views.
Layout
The front door opens into a largeopen plan living area. With sitting room area by the two large fronr windows. The is a stone fireplace (electric fire), comfortable sofas and television with dvd player.
Beyond this the slate tiled dining area with table and chairs for six .
The kitchen is at the rear with attractive cream units, range cooker with double oven and hob (all electric). Fridge freezer and microwave. Plenty of china and kitchenware..
At the rear of the ground floor there is a slate lined wet room with shower, basin and wc.
THe staircase leads to a landing.
Off this there is an attractive family bathroom with traditional style free standing bathtub with integral shower to taps. Basin and wc.
The main bedroom has a double bed and large antique wardrobe. Sash window over looking the sea. This room is reached through bedroom two which has sturdy cabin bunk beds fitted into the wall. These beds are 3ft wide and have wooden sides to them. The top bunk is aprox 6ft up.Window overlooks the sea.
The third bedroom is at the rear and has a double bed. Window overlooks the rear gardens.
These two cottages can be rented separately or together
for larger family groups.....Trygva and Little Perhaver.
The Garden and Beach access
Tyrgva has a pleasant private garden and deck in front of it, a haapy place to relax after the beach or for outside dining. The beach is about 5 minutes walk down the hill. Cliff road is a quiet lane leading on beyond the cottages, to the Coastal footpath in the direction of Mevagissey. The westerly section of the path is also easily reached from the cottage in the opposite direction..
Location
Gorran Haven is a cheerful and friendly small village half way down the south coast of Cornwall. It is very much appreciated for its two sandy beaches and small harbour with quay. In summer the beaches team with families enjoying the sea, stream and rock pools.
There is a single main shop - Cakebread's - which is open all year and is the mainstay of the village being the bakers, grocery, off licence, newsagent and post office and run by the ever smiling Barbara Noott. Great pasties.
In season there are several other shops: a fish and chip shop and a beach cafe, a small cafe restaurant and soon the newly refurbished Llawnroc hotel and bar. In Gorran Churchtown- a mile inland- the Barley Sheaf pub has a pleasant garden, comfy bar and home cooked meals as well as pasties and pints of good local St Austell ales.
