Outside:
Parking is on the slope next to the cottage (to be reversed into). A pair of wooden double gates can be shut to enclose the area. A side gate opens onto pathway to Little Perhaver beach.
Behind the cottage a pathway beside a garage (not open) leads to a sunny slate lined courtyard with Seaside tolerant plants growing wild on the walls. There is a wooden bench on an elevated terrace, (good for afternoon and evening sun). Below, there is larger area with outdoor furniture and BBQ; also a rotary washing line; blueshell sandpit and paddling pool.
Inside:
Side entrance leads to glazed porch – good for sandy shoes & wet costumes.
Internal door to short passage way with large cupboard (Hoover, iron etc.). Coat rack.
Bathroom with large enamel bath, electric shower over. Pedestal wash basin, WC, heated towel rail.
Sittingroom in the round end of the cottage, this has a fireplace, sofa and two armchairs. Side tables, lamps & rug. Beige looppile fitted carpet.
Kitchen/diningroom: with oval dining table and chairs, fireplace with slate mantle, wicker chairs, desk & lamp to alcove. Second entrance door – to Church Street.
Fitted kitchen, electric cooker, under counter fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine. All the necessary equipment for cooking and dining.
Twin Bedroom: From the sittingroom a flight of
open wooden (carpeted) stairs rise to a good sized bedroom with
windows overlooking the sea on one side and gardens and valley
the otherside. There are twin (2 foot 6) beds, chest of drawers,
fitted clothes cupboards and large airing cupboard with immersion
heater. The stairwell has a solid wooden surround to waist height.
The top of the stairs is in the corner of the room and leads directly
around the corner to the upper hallway from which the other two
bedrooms open.
Single Bedroom: This has a single pine framed
bed, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp (there is room for
a cot in here, too). Window with view of sea over rooftops.
En suite WC with washbasin through curtained doorway.
Double Bedroom: this is at the end of the hallway, next to the single room. There is a double bed, curtained wardrobe alcove, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers. Window with view of sea over rooftops.
General:
The ground floor is quarry tiled except sittingroom, the rest has oatmeal fitted carpet.
There are night storage heaters. Immersion heater for water and electric shower.
